On July 1, 2023, Dublin Police Officers responded to a single vehicle traffic collision with possible injuries. When they arrived on scene, they encountered a 23-year-old female driver sitting in her vehicle on top of downed electrical wires. She couldn't recall what happened and believed she either passed out or fell asleep while driving. She also admitted to drinking alcohol. She was administered field sobriety tests and was transported to the hospital at the advice of emergency medical technicians that were on scene. One of the Dublin Police Officers went to the hospital to collect a urine specimen from the driver. She was issued citations for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI) and failure to maintain control of her vehicle. The court case is still open. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
