On March 25, 2023, Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Wearsch stopped a vehicle for a marked lanes violation and for speeding. The 18-year-old driver was unlicensed and claimed to be the designated driver. However, minutes later, she admitted to consuming three shots of alcohol. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Lorain Police Department, where she submitted to an evidential breath test. The result was 0.136% BAC.
