A fatal hit-and-run involving a woman in a wheelchair led to a suspect's voluntary surrender, revealing a complex motive of fear and borrowed vehicle use. On September 18, 2023, a pedestrian using a wheelchair was tragically struck by a vehicle and then run over by two others. Witnesses reported seeing a blue Subaru initiate the collision before fleeing the scene, leaving the victim. Three days later, the driver, a young woman, turned herself in, admitting she fled out of fear and because the vehicle was borrowed. This footage captures a brief, routine interaction during her processing, where an officer acknowledges she received food, a small moment amidst the gravity of the charges for leaving the scene of a fatality collision. She was subsequently booked into a detention center, facing serious legal consequences. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
