He turned on his lights to pull the car over. The driver, 26-year-old Stephanie Aguilar, parked in the lot of the Joyce Honda dealership. Officer Pisano saw that her young daughter was in the passenger seat. He asked Stephanie where she had been and if she had been drinking. She admitted to drinking alcohol, so Officer Pisano told her to step out of the vehicle. Officer Christopher Ordway arrived shortly after to help at the scene. Officer Pisano suspected impairment and asked Stephanie to do some field sobriety tests. The first was the Walk and Turn test. Stephanie struggled to walk heel-to-toe and didn’t turn correctly. Next was the One Leg Stand test, where she couldn’t lift her foot as she was supposed to. The last test was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, conducted by Officer Ordway. Officer Pisano arrested Stephanie for driving under the influence after observing her speeding and erratic behavior. She struggled with field sobriety tests, leading to her arrest. Her vehicle was searched and impounded for a required 12 hours due to John’s Law. Officer Pisano took Stephanie to the Denville Township Police Headquarters, where he informed her of her Miranda rights and the rules for motor vehicle operators. Stephanie agreed to take breath tests. After Stephanie finished her processing, she was handed over to her husband once he signed a form about potential liability. Officer Pisano issued her several tickets: driving under the influence of alcohol with a minor in the car, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, improper passing on the right, and not maintaining her lane. 3:02 I Wonder Why Women Do Their Mouth Like That?
