In this video, we explore two shocking incidents involving police shootings. In the first case, a well-known anti-gun violence advocate, Terry Moorehead, was shot 14 times by police officers in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred after Moorehead, a former gang member, allegedly harassed and attacked a woman with a knife. Despite his advocacy work, Moorehead's past involvement in gun violence and his deteriorating mental health led to a tragic outcome. The police's actions were deemed reasonable, but his family disagrees, questioning the handling of the situation. The second case takes us to Arizona, where 17-year-old Devon Thompson was left paralyzed after being shot by police. The incident began when Thompson, reportedly brandishing a gun, was seen threatening neighbors. When police arrived, he allegedly aimed his weapon at them, leading to a shooting that changed his life forever. Thompson's family has filed a $50 million lawsuit against the Phoenix Police Department, arguing that he was unarmed and trying to flee when shot. Both cases raise important questions about police use of force, racial bias, and the need for better mental health support. Join us as we delve into these stories and discuss the implications.
