A car crash had just occurred. It involved a 2022 Honda. He found the Honda stuck on the median when he got there. The car had hit trees and a sign. The sign marked the development. Marie Mendez was the driver. She spoke with Sergeant Patrick Hughes. Marie said a truck tailgated her. Loud music blasted from it. This caused her to crash into the sign. Two unopened wine bottles sat on the floor. They were on the passenger side. Around 8:00 PM, Officer Isaiha Rose arrived to help the first responders. They were checking on Marie. She told them she had a glass of wine. The officers smelled alcohol. They saw other signs she was not herself. So, they started a DWI investigation. Officer Rose took Marie to a parking lot close by. There, she did some tests to check her sobriety. Patrolman Rose began with the Walk and Turn test. During the test, Marie struggled. She did not touch heel-to-toe each time she stepped. Also, she failed to keep her arms still at her sides. Marie's turn was also not correct. Next was the One Leg Stand test. Marie could not raise her foot right. She also showed a lack of balance. The scene reeked of trouble after the crash. An officer smelled alcohol. A witness mentioned a wine bottle. Marie failed the roadside sobriety test. Patrolman Arlotta arrested her for drunk driving. He took her to the Evesham Township Police Department. John’s Law required her car to be towed. It faced a mandatory 12-hour impound. Patrolman Arlotta, at the Evesham Township Police Department, read Marie her rights. Marie then agreed to give breath samples. Patrolman Shane Bakely used the Alcotest machine. Her BAC level was 0.25%. This was more than triple the legal limit. After processing, Marie was released to a sober adult. He signed the Potential Liability Warning form. Patrolman Anderson issued Marie three summonses. These were for operating under the influence, reckless driving, and a marked lanes violation. Marie's legal troubles began on August 9, 2022. She was arrested for DWI in Evesham Township, New Jersey. Then, on March 16, 2023, she faced the consequences. She was found guilty of careless driving from the first arrest. Her license was also revoked for 90 days. As part of a deal, three other citations were dropped. On the same day, she was found guilty of another DWI from November 26, 2022. Citations for traffic and reckless driving were also dismissed in the agreement. In total, she had to pay $1,130 in fines. Just one month later, on April 24, 2023, Marie Elaina Kearney Mendez passed away. 6:20 how do you keep your foot vertical to the ground ? lol 8:44 Oh, someone ran you off the road?
