Deputies surround an apartment in Albuquerque's "War Zone." The man outside says nobody's home. Thirty minutes later, somebody walks out. 🎥 In today's copyrighted documentary, we report on an incident that occurred in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It's November 26, 2024. Bernalillo County deputies show up at an apartment in the International District with a search warrant. According to the report, a deputy had watched what looked like drug deals there. Richard Cortez, 44, is outside by a white car. Deputies cuff him and spot body armor in the back seat. They ask who's inside. "Nobody is," he says. Later, he says someone's probably asleep in there. Deputies call out over a loudspeaker for about 30 minutes. Then Michael Herrera, 18, walks out backward with his hands on his head. Inside, a TV is showing a live feed from the cameras outside. The report says deputies find about 65,000 blue "M30" pills around the apartment. Cortez is charged with drug trafficking and with being a felon in possession of a g**. Court records show his case is still pending.
