Caught on Video Drunk Woman Punches Cop During DUI Arrest! In the early hours of February 20, 2022, Tampa police stopped a white Mercedes that was speeding and ran multiple red lights. After a brief pursuit, officers made contact with 22-year-old Emily Smith, who showed signs of impairment but initially denied drinking. She later admitted to having two drinks after leaving a local nightclub. Emily was moved to a nearby parking lot to perform field sobriety tests, which she failed. As officers attempted to place her under arrest for DUI, she suddenly resisted and punched one officer in the back of the head multiple times. A second officer intervened, and after a brief struggle, she was secured and taken into custody. At the jail, Emily refused to submit a breath sample. She was charged with DUI, resisting an officer with violence, and driving with a suspended license. She was later released pending a court appearance. Watch the full incident unfold on bodycam.
