A late-night traffic stop escalates when a driver's admission of alcohol consumption raises immediate concerns for officer safety. Around 11:37 PM, a witness reported an erratic driver in a black 2016 Jeep, leading officers to initiate a stop. Upon contact, an officer noted clear indicators of impairment, prompting the driver to admit to having "two drinks" before agreeing to perform field sobriety exercises. The officer began the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test but quickly terminated it out of concern for the driver's safety, subsequently placing her under arrest for driving under the influence. A search of the vehicle revealed an open container of alcohol, and the vehicle was impounded.
