What started as a traffic stop quickly turned into a wild police chase and ended with officers using spike strips to stop the vehicle. Police say the driver initially refused to stop, avoided spike strips, and at one point drove into oncoming traffic before officers eventually stopped pursuing for safety reasons. After the vehicle was boxed in, officers spent nearly two hours trying to get the woman out of the car before physically removing her. During the investigation, the mother insisted she didn't know police were behind her and repeatedly told officers she would have stopped if she had known. Her daughter told police she had been asleep for much of the incident and only woke up during the drive. Officers also questioned the woman about alcohol after saying they could smell it on her. She admitted drinking two glasses of red wine earlier that day. Police ultimately said she was facing charges including aggravated fleeing and eluding, DUI, child endangerment, reckless driving, and multiple traffic offenses. ⏱️ CHAPTERS: 00:00 Police Chase Begins 00:40 Officers Prepare to Stop the Vehicle 01:01 Mother Is Taken Into Custody 02:38 Police Speak With Her Daughter 05:45 Family Member Arrives 06:20 Police Explain the Pursuit 07:46 Officers Search the Vehicle 09:05 Mother Learns She's Under Arrest 09:43 Police Explain Why She Was Arrested 10:51 Spike Strips and Oncoming Traffic 12:26 Mother Gives Her Side 13:25 Police Question Her About Alcohol 14:55 Charges Revealed Was this a case of panic and confusion, or did police have enough reason to believe she was intentionally fleeing?
