Just after midnight, a State Police officer watched a car go past him with no lights on at all. He had to push his own cruiser to 109 to catch up with it. 🎥 In today's copyrighted documentary, we report on an incident that occurred in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A New Mexico State Police officer was stopped at an intersection on Albuquerque's north side when a gray four-door passed him with no lights on. He followed it onto Interstate 25 southbound. According to his report, the car accelerated past traffic and he reached 109 miles per hour before he could close the distance. His in-car radar clocked the Subaru at 104 in a 65 zone. He wrote that he could smell alcohol from inside the car and that the driver's eyes were bloodshot and watery. Asked to switch his headlights on, the driver did, and they worked. Asked where he had been, he said he had come from a bar and, according to the report, told the officer: "I drank three beers." His worksheet records four of six clues on the eye test, four on the walk-and-turn, and two on the one-leg stand — at or above the threshold on all three. It also records that he took his boots off and did the balance tests in his socks. Two breath samples came back at 0.13 and 0.12, both above New Mexico's 0.08 limit. Court records identify him as Luis Raul Adame-Silva. He pled guilty to DWI first offense, and citations for speeding and driving without lighted lamps were dismissed under the plea agreement. The court deferred his sentence and placed him in the DWI First Offender Program — a year of probation, DWI school, a victim impact panel, an ignition interlock, and community service. He completed it, and in January 2026 the case was dismissed with prejudice. 📺 MORE LIKE THIS — watch the latest Breaking Bodycams documentaries: 👉 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL89-g15XsVc0WxE8UISQXCrCctoEPo46v 📌 ABOUT BREAKING BODYCAMS Breaking Bodycams covers law enforcement encounters across the country, with a heavy focus on the Southwest and New Mexico.
