On October 19, 2024, Santa Fe County Sheriff's Sgt. Webb observed a vehicle failing to maintain lanes. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 21-year-old woman. The woman admitted to consuming 4 or 5 Bud Lights 1 hour before driving. Because of this, she was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusion of the tests, she was placed under arrest for Driving While Under the Influence (DWI). She was transported to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, where she submitted to an evidential breath test. The result was 0.15% BAC.
