On January 23, 2025, Middletown Police Officers were dispatched to a hit and run motor vehicle accident. Officer MacDonald located the vehicle that fled and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, a 38-year-old woman, was driving on a suspended license. Based on her actions, Officer MacDonald suspected the woman might be impaired. He asked her to exit the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. The tests were stopped prematurely and the woman was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Middletown Police Headquarters, where she agreed to submit to a breath test. The result was 0.000% BAC. A Drug Recognition Export then performed an evaluation on the woman. At the conclusion, she was asked to provide a urine specimen. Her list of charges is discussed at the end of the video. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
