A routine nighttime traffic stop takes an unexpected turn when an individual resists officers' directives to enter a patrol vehicle, leading to a physical interaction. The incident begins with an officer initiating a traffic stop on a vehicle observed driving erratically at night, specifically swerving and operating without illuminated headlights. Upon approaching the driver, who appears to be a medium-built male, the officer requests license and registration. The driver explains his erratic behavior, citing distraction from his GPS and fatigue after leaving a casino. Despite the explanation, the officer proceeds to administer a series of field sobriety tests, including the horizontal gaze nystagmus, walk-and-turn, and one-leg stand. Throughout these tests, the driver repeatedly expresses tiredness and mentions his recent departure from a casino, yet consistently denies having consumed any alcohol. Following the field sobriety evaluations, the interaction escalates. The individual requests permission to access his own vehicle, asking, "Can I go to my car?" He then makes a cryptic comment, stating, "You guys are getting a shock in here," and insists his keys are on the seat while moving towards his car. An officer issues a direct command for the individual to stand up. Amidst this, another officer warns, "Watch out, he's gonna move fast," anticipating potential resistance. The situation quickly transitions into a physical struggle as officers attempt to secure the individual. Commands are issued, with one officer declaring, "We're coming through with the force," and another announcing, "We've got a leg grab." During the ensuing struggle, the individual can be heard protesting, "I'm gonna roll you," and, "My shirt's caught in your sheet," while also exclaiming, "I don't have my fucking key!" Officers repeatedly instruct, "Get him up," as they work to gain control. The encounter concludes with officers successfully restraining the individual, reassuring him, "Don't worry about it, put them right in your car," and confirming, "Next, 10-4, we're en route" to transport him.
