An officer's inquiry into a reported firearm discharge quickly escalates as a suspect denies involvement while seeking to leave the scene. Responding to a call about a firearm discharged on N Jackson Street, officers located a shell casing and were directed to a dressing room inside a nearby club. There, they encountered a young woman matching the witness's description, who denied firing the weapon, claiming another female was responsible. Despite her pleas to retrieve her phone and leave, the officer proceeded to detain her, leading to the discovery of a GLOCK 9mm in a holster concealed under her skirt. Following a search and positive identification by the caller, she was transported to jail and charged with disorderly conduct and reckless conduct. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
