This was a traffic stop on someone suspected of running illegal casinos, when the officer asked if there were large sums of cash or anything illegal in the vehicle they said that they had about $100,000 in the car. Well it was a lot more than that..it was $350,000. They claimed that they had just sold a hotel/casino in Belize and that the money was partial payment. Their story was all over the place, at one point they said it was money from something else. They originally said it was $100k, then $150k.. apparently did not know how much cash it was. The money was taken down to the station and counted and held, they called an attorney that met them down there too. It has since come out that the arrest was because of an illegal gambling operation they were running in the Villages, Florida and that 190 slot machines were also seized. Investigators claim the illegal casino generated $24 million in profits and allegedly targeted seniors. This individual also allegedly owns the Caribi Bleu Casino in Belize which has been accused of having ATM machines that dispense US currency which is illegal in Belize. They face RICO, money-laundering, keeping a gambling house, and possession of slot machines charges. (Note: This person was born a female and transiontioned to male.
