On October 19, 2024, Roswell Police Officer Irvin observed a vehicle commit several traffic violations. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 22-year-old woman. The woman denied consuming alcohol, but based on her poor driving, Officer Irvin had her exit the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was subsequently placed under arrest. After being read the New Mexico Implied Consent Law, she refused to submit to breath testing. She was booked into the Chaves County Detention Center. Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
