On the evening of June 17, 2025, law enforcement responded to a vehicle accident involving a collision with the median. The driver appeared distressed and reported minor injuries but refused medical aid. She stated a white truck abruptly braked in front of her, causing her to lose control and crash. Upon interaction, the officer detected signs of impairment including the smell of alcohol and the driver’s admission to consuming alcoholic beverages earlier that evening. She underwent several field sobriety tests—Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, Walk and Turn, and One-Leg Stand—where she showed clear signs of intoxication and difficulty following instructions. These results, combined with a breathalyzer test showing a BAC over twice the legal limit, led to her arrest for driving under the influence. Following the crash and arrest, the driver was medically cleared at a hospital and then processed at the detention center. During transport, she expressed concern about her job and asked about bail. She remains in custody pending her initial court appearance. This report is an accurate summary based on official law enforcement documentation.
