REAL POLICE BODYCAM footage shows Des Plaines Police officers dealing with an increasingly hostile woman at Rivers Casino who makes direct threats and becomes physically aggressive. This bodycam video captures the critical escalation moment that led to multiple felony charges. In this police bodycam footage, 38-year-old Stephanie Neff from Lake in the Hills directly threatens violence against an officer, stating: "I'm going to get arrested if I punch him in the face." The officer calmly confirms the consequences, responding "Oh you absolutely will," while attempting to de-escalate the situation. The bodycam clearly captures Neff becoming increasingly confrontational, demanding "So get out of my fucking face" as tension rises. When the officer appears to create distance, she immediately escalates with accusations: "Step back. Get... Did you just fucking push me? Stop. Did you just push me?" This rapid shift from aggressor to claiming victim status is clearly documented on the police bodycam. Officers continue attempting to resolve the situation peacefully, asking "Are you ready to go home? Are you ready to go home before you get arrested?" However, Neff responds with more hostility: "Get out of my fucking face." As officers try to maintain control, repeatedly asking "Are you done?" the bodycam captures physical resistance with the notation "You're kicking us." According to police reports, this incident occurred at Rivers Casino in Des Plaines on April 15, 2024, after Neff was prevented from entering the casino floor due to her intoxication level. What began as a refusal to leave casino property escalated to physical confrontation where she attempted to punch an officer, chest-bumped another, and physically resisted arrest. Police reports indicate that after being asked to leave multiple times, Neff began to advance toward security personnel. When an officer stepped between her and security to prevent an altercation, she threatened to punch the officer in the face. She then moved toward the officer, swung with a closed fist, and chest-bumped him, causing the officer to push her back to create space - the exact moment captured in this bodycam footage. Neff was ultimately charged with two counts of felony aggravated battery to a peace officer, felony aggravated assault to a peace officer, and a misdemeanor count of resisting a peace officer.
