It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: At around 6:30 PM on July 29, 2023, Officer John Roskos from the Rio Rancho Police Department spotted a white 2022 Nissan speeding down Southern Boulevard. The car was going 70 MPH in a 40 MPH zone. Officer Roskos started chasing the vehicle and got closer as they approached the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Golf Course Road. He turned on his emergency lights to pull the car over, but it did not stop until it reached Country Club Drive and entered the Bank of America parking lot. After the car finally stopped, Officer Roskos walked up to the driver and found out her name was Sierra Archibeque, a 23-year-old. While Officer Roskos talked to the driver, he noticed a strong smell of alcohol. He asked her if she was aware of the speed limit and informed Sierra that she was driving 70 MPH in a 40 MPH zone. When he inquired if she had been drinking, Sierra insisted she hadn’t had any alcohol. Due to his concerns about her possible impairment, he offered Sierra a chance to do some field sobriety tests. Officer Roskos began by conducting the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. During this test, he noticed that Sierra's eyes didn't follow smoothly, showed noticeable jerking when looking to the side, and started to jerk before reaching a 45-degree angle. Next was the Walk and Turn test. In this test, Sierra struggled to keep her balance and did not touch her heel to toe on every step. The third test was the One Leg Stand. Sierra had trouble lifting her foot correctly and counted improperly while balancing. For the fourth test, she was asked to count backward from 72 to 51 but could not follow the correct order. Lastly, she needed to recite the alphabet from "I" to "Q," but instead, she recited from "I" to "Z." Due to her speeding, careless driving, confused remarks, and failure to perform the field sobriety tests properly, Officer Roskos arrested Sierra for driving under the influence. Her car was taken away, and she was taken to the Rio Rancho Police Department for processing. Once there, Officer Roskos informed Sierra about the New Mexico Implied Breath Consent advisory form, and she agreed to provide breath samples. After a 20-minute observation period, Officer Roskos used the Intoxilyzer machine on Sierra. The results showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.13% and 0.12%, which are both above the legal limit of 0.08% for anyone over 21. Once Sierra was processed at the Rio Rancho Police Department, Officer Roskos took her to the Sandoval County Detention Center, where she was booked for driving while intoxicated (DWI). He also issued her several summonses: one for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, another for speeding, and additional ones for having an open container and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. 13:00 well lying works with my parents! 14:27 LOL 30:40 bye-bye shoes If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video .
