On February 12, 2023, the Florida Highway Patrol received a call from the Volusia County Sheriff's Office after their deputies tried to stop the driver of a silver Lincoln SUV. However, the driver managed to evade the deputies and continued driving into Seminole County, eventually reaching Orange County. At this point, a trooper intercepted the SUV and turned on the vehicle's lights and sirens as it exited onto Anderson Street in Downtown Orlando. The SUV then entered the I-4 Express lanes and continued traveling eastbound until it reached State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs.
