Around 2:30 AM on September 11, 2022, Officer Torie Teets with the Athens-Clarke County Police Department was on patrol in Downtown Athens, Georgia, during a football game. She observed two vehicles obstructing the roadway in front of a store, which appeared to have been involved in a fender bender. Officer Teets made contact with 21-year-old Remington, the driver of one vehicle, and detected an odor of alcohol, along with other indicators of impairment. Remington admitted to consuming alcohol earlier that night. Following several failed field sobriety tests, Remington was arrested for DUI Alcohol Less Safe and Following too Closely. In this clip, Officer Teets directly questions Remington about her alcohol consumption, asking if she had only "one glass of wine." The officer then prepares to conduct field sobriety exercises, first checking for any potential head injuries or medical conditions that could affect the tests.
