Upon arrival at the residence, officers observed that the front door was initially open, but was then closed by an individual inside the residence. Officers announced their presence and purpose at the door and then used a mechanical device to breach the door. As the door opened, 52-year-old Donald Gardner (also known as Donald Capriotti), who was inside the residence, fired multiple gunshots at the officers. Two Atlantic City police officers were struck by gunfire. A projectile hit one ACPD officer in the helmet; another ACPD officer sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. Sgt. Christian Ivanov a member of the Atlantic City Police Department’s SWAT team, suffered life-threatening injuries. His injuries included a gunshot wound to the groin that damaged his femoral artery and vein, causing critical blood loss. His fellow officers applied pressure to control the bleeding and transported him for emergency treatment. Officer Robert Reynolds of the ACPD, who was not struck by gunfire, responded and fired his weapon multiple times, striking Gardner. Gardner was subsequently pronounced deceased. A handgun was recovered from the residence. The two wounded officers were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where one of them was released the next day. Sgt. Christian Ivanov, meanwhile, underwent two emergency surgeries on June 2 and was taken off a ventilator the following morning. He remained in serious but stable condition during his hospitalization. On June 18, 2026, Ivanov was released from the hospital after more than two weeks of treatment. He was escorted out by an honor guard and headed to a rehabilitation facility for intensive physical therapy. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'William Prowse IV' - 'Clood' - Efrain - 'The Fraternal Order book' - 'Quân La' - 'Zixuno' - 'Rate A Creator with Omar Alkahlout' - 'Forever A Loner' - KHALID - Michael Griffin - John Doe - 'Twitchypowpow' - Rose - Tyrell Robertson - christine Grinter - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - LJ - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - "John B.
