On 03/19/2025 at 5:47 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the involved individuals were observed attempting to drive away in a motor vehicle. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the police arrested a 54-year-old male, Fernando Scarpa Tubin of Union City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Scarpa Tubin was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Scarpa Tubin was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently released into the custody of a responsible adult. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
