On June 14, 2025, eyewitnesses called the Edmonds Police Department to report a possibly intoxicated driver. Officer Sakiyama located the vehicle, which was owned by a 51-year-old woman. The woman appeared heavily intoxicated and her story for being parked made no sense to Officer Sakiyama. Officer Ovens arrived to take over the investigation. When the woman made an attempt to get back to her vehicle, she was denied in handcuffs. She then became more and more belligerent, so a decision was made to place her in the WRAP restraint device. She was transported to the Snohomish County Jail, where a blood warrant was obtained. The results of the laboratory analysis of her blood and her charges are listed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
