On Wednesday 08/20/2025, at approximately 2:54 AM, I Cpl. Ben Ibarra #173 was enroute to an unrelated call on I-430N near 11MM. Faulkner County requested assistance with a pursuit on a motorcycle on I-40E near the 139MM. I stopped at the Crystal Hill exit of I-40 in preparation for the pursuit to continue on I-40E or turn towards I-430S. At approximately 2:58 AM, the motorcycle passed me traveling approximately 150mph as I was merging on I-40E from Crystal Hill. I became primary in the pursuit near the 148MM. The motorcycle was an unknown black crotch rocket bearing no visible LPN. The pursuit continued eastbound on I-40 to the 153MM where I was able to catch up to the motorcycle. I attempted to box the motorcycle in but the box attempt was unsuccessful. The motorcycle then attempted to pass me on the right where I attempted to narrow the travel path to force the motorcycle to slow down. The motorcycle struck my unit on the front right door and mirror, causing minor cosmetic damage, then began wobbling in the gravel on the right roadside. The motorcycle was able to regain traction and accelerated out of the gravel and back on I-40E. The pursuit continued to I-57N. Once we were on I-57N, I began catching up little by little on the curves, but the motorcycle would accelerate to back 175mph on the straight stretches. Around the 9MM, I began to slow down as I was not going to catch the motorcycle in hopes it would take an exit after seeing me fall behind. At approximately 3:06 AM, as I was near the 11MM, I lost sight of the motorcycle completely and discontinued the pursuit.
