On March 27, 2024, Lacey Police Officers were dispatched to a call involving a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart. The reporting party indicated that a Chevy Silverado truck was driving around the parking lot and occupants of the truck had opened several car doors. Officers located the Silverado truck, but the 33-year-old female driver fled at a high rate of speed. Several minutes later, Officers located the Silverado, which had crashed into the woods. A witness observed the driver through a child out of the truck and they both fled on foot. Several minutes later, Officers located a woman matching the suspect's description at a nearby movie theater. It turns out the toddler in the truck was not her child and she was merely watching over the child while her accomplices were breaking into cars. Officers interrogated the woman and then arrested her for numerous charges. Her exact charges are listed at the end of the video.
