On May 28, 2023, Roswell police officers responded to assist a female motorist. When they arrived, they found a 35 year-old woman who was very upset after having an argument with her boyfriend. She claims that her boyfriend took her phone and car keys. Officers attempted to help her by offering to give her a ride home, but she insisted she would stay in her vehicle because she didn't want her boyfriend to return and take her car. 12 minutes later, the intoxicated woman was found driving the vehicle. She was stopped by the officers and subjected to standardized field sobriety exercises. She was eventually arrested and transported to the police station. She was given an evidentiary breath test and the results were 0.12% BAC.
