He pulled the car over on Sheridan Road close to 66th Place. When he approached the driver, 19-year-old Kiara, he noticed signs that she might be impaired. Kiara claimed she was returning to college after shopping at Walmart, but her story didn’t add up, as she was driving south on Sheridan Road, away from Walmart. Officer Van Pamel suspected that the driver might be impaired, so he called for backup to help with the situation. Shortly after, Officer Maxx Tripp arrived and started his investigation. He asked Kiara to step out of the vehicle and perform some field sobriety exercises, and she agreed to comply. The first test was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. Officer Tripp noticed that Kiara's eyes did not follow smoothly. He saw clear signs of nystagmus when her eyes reached maximum deviation and before they hit 45 degrees. Next came the Walk and Turn test. Kiara struggled with this one; she couldn't touch heel-to-toe and had difficulty balancing. The last test was the One Leg Stand. During this exercise, Kiara swayed a lot and frequently put her foot down instead of holding it up. Kiara was arrested for driving under the influence after officers noticed her swerving, the smell of alcohol, and signs that she was impaired. She struggled to pass the field sobriety tests. After her arrest, police searched her and moved her vehicle to a secure spot. Officer Tripp then took Kiara to the Keonsha County Jail for processing. At the jail, Officer Tripp informed Kiara about Wisconsin’s Implied Consent Law. She agreed to take breath tests. Kiara also gave up her Miranda rights and mentioned that she had bartended earlier that day. Officer Kevin Roepke used the breathalyzer on her and revealed that her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was 0.19%. This was more than double the legal limit of 0.08% and almost ten times the limit of 0.02% for drivers under 21. After Kiara provided her breath samples, she received several citations: Operating While Under the Influence (1st Offense), Operating With a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration (1st Offense), Unreasonable and Imprudent Speed, and Underage Drinking and Driving. 3:00 recklessly fast 4:12 facepalm 42:35 how she politely drove knowingly drunk If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video .
