A seemingly idyllic beach day quickly shifted as officers investigated reports of public lewdness. Patrolwoman Beringer, Sergeant Junquet, and Special Officer Contreras responded to Ocean Avenue after dispatch updated them on a caller's location, where they located a couple, later identified as Amanda Mohr and Edgar Dillon, engaged in lewd acts on the sand. Their actions were confirmed by multiple witnesses, one of whom provided video evidence to Sergeant Junquet and Patrolwoman Beringer. Subsequently, both individuals were advised of their arrest for lewdness, allowed to dress and gather belongings, and then transported separately to the police department for processing. Following the collection of additional witness statements, summonses were issued for Lewdness – Observed by Others (2C:14-4A), with both individuals ultimately released pending their court appearances. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
