At 4:26 a.m. on August 7, 2025, an armed crew drove a car through the front of a GameStop on Chicago's Northwest Side. When police arrived, the burglars fled in a white Chrysler sedan and a red Jeep SUV — and one of the vehicles hit a responding officer, who opened fire. What followed was a police chase through the city that ended in a way nobody expected. Using official dashcam, bodycam and security camera footage released by Chicago's Civilian Office of Police Accountability (COPA), we break down every angle. Was the shot justified? You decide.
