A 25-year-old woman was reporting that her 31-year-old boyfriend was drunk and had kicked her out of the apartment. When police approached the man, he stated he wanted to go to the hospital to seek treatment for his alcohol abuse. However, he also stated he wanted to finish 2 bottles of alcohol first. He demeanor changed suddenly and he ended up throwing red Gatorade all over Officer Prieto. When Officer Prieto feared that the man was about to attack him, Officer Prieto initiated a Use of Force and took the man to the ground. He was then placed in "The Wrap" restraint system. He was transported to the Dona Ana Detention Center, where he was charged with a felony and 2 misdemeanors. The exact charges and the outcome of the case are discussed at the end of video.
