It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: At about 11:12 p.m. on August 4, 2025, Sergeant Adam Colfer from the Middletown Township Police Department got a call about a car crash. He pulled up and saw a black 2024 Mazda CX-90 had hit a parked 2024 BMW M2. The Mazda's driver turned out to be Jennifer Rader. She said her steering wheel locked, causing the crash into the BMW. Patrolman John Foy showed up soon after. Jennifer first denied drinking any alcohol. But later, she confessed to having wine at a friend's house that night. She mentioned her 7-year-old daughter rode with her in the car during the wreck. Officers suspected she was impaired. So they asked her to do field sobriety tests. She started with the Walk and Turn test. Jennifer missed heel-to-toe steps. She forgot to count right. And she took the wrong number of steps both ways. Next came the One Leg Stand. She couldn't lift her foot correctly. Her foot dropped too soon. The test ended early. The crash, the smell of alcohol, and her failed tests convinced Patrolman Foy to arrest Jennifer for driving under the influence. They held her car for 12 hours under John's Law. Foy drove her to the Middletown Township Police Department for more steps. There, Foy read her the standard statement for drivers. Jennifer agreed to give breath samples. Her Alcotest showed a blood alcohol level of 0.19%. That's more than twice the 0.08% limit. Once processing wrapped up, officers let her go to her husband. He signed the Potential Liability Warning for her. She waited for court. Patrolman Foy gave Jennifer these tickets: Operating under the influence Reckless driving She faced criminal charges too. One for endangering a child (2C:24-4A(2)). The other for DWI as a parent or guardian with a minor in the vehicle (39:4-50.15B). 0:28 Already lying 2:11 the cop confirmed with her that there's no one else in the car...
