The vehicle was being driven by a 21-year-old woman, who claimed she was returning home from Pub II, a bar and restaurant near the campus of Illinois State University. She initially admitted to consuming one alcoholic beverage. Officer Dixon then called for additional officers to respond to his location in order to conduct standardized field sobriety testing (FSTs). When Officer Harper arrived, the woman was asked to step out of her vehicle. At the end of the FSTs, the woman was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). She was transported to the Normal Police Station, where she agreed to submit to an evidential breath test. The result was 0.118% BAC. She was then transported to the McLean County Jail.
