A Michigan driver was arrested after police said he refused to cooperate and attempted to prevent officers from removing him from his vehicle during a traffic stop in Dundee. According to the Dundee Police Department report, officers stopped the 54-year-old driver after noticing the vehicle did not have a registration plate. Police said the driver refused to provide the requested documents and insisted he was “traveling” rather than driving. A police supervisor was called to the scene after the driver continued refusing requests to exit the vehicle. Police said the driver locked the doors and began rolling up the window as officers attempted to remove him. Officers were eventually able to unlock the vehicle and remove the driver. Police said he was then taken into custody without further incident. Authorities later discovered that the man was wanted on several warrants from other Michigan jurisdictions. He was taken to Monroe County Jail on expected charges including resisting and obstructing police, traffic violations, and active warrants.
