After she allegedly provided officers with a fake name and date of birth , she was informed she would be taken to the station for fingerprinting to determine her identity. At this point, the situation escalated; the report states she became "verbally irate" and "physically aggressive" while officers attempted to handcuff her for transport, allegedly "throwing punches" and actively resisting. Officers used physical restraint techniques to take her to the ground and secure her. During the struggle, she sustained an injury to her nose and was transported to the hospital for treatment before being taken to jail. She was ultimately charged with Retail Theft, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Identification.
