A seemingly relaxed beach day takes an abrupt turn when officers confront individuals suspected of public lewdness. On June 12, 2025, around 12:36 PM, officers were dispatched to Ocean Avenue following a report of two individuals engaged in sexual activity on the beach. Upon arrival, the officers located the couple, identified as Amanda Mohr and Edgar Dillon, on the sand. The situation escalated when a male witness confirmed the act with a video captured on his phone, which Patrolwoman Beringer reviewed, solidifying the accounts of multiple observers. Consequently, both individuals were informed they were under arrest for lewdness. Demonstrating a procedural courtesy, officers allowed both Amanda and Edgar to fully dress and gather their personal belongings before escorting them to separate patrol vehicles for transportation to the Monmouth Beach Police Department.
