A routine civic duty quickly devolved into chaos when a voter's impatience led to a shocking physical assault. On November 3, 2024, at an Orland Park township office, an individual allegedly initiated a disturbance in an early voting line by refusing to adhere to the queueing procedure. When election judges attempted to de-escalate the situation and instruct him to return to the back of the line, the individual reportedly pushed past them, escalated his behavior by yelling profanities, and then physically assaulted an election judge, striking them in the face and knocking off their glasses.
