On May 21, 2023, Patrolman Robert Alvator of the Highlands Police Department in Highlands, New Jersey, observed a 2009 Dodge Caliber driving erratically on SR 36 northbound. He initiated a traffic stop, identifying the driver as 20-year-old Karina Armando and the passenger as 24-year-old Olivia Morrow. Armando admitted to consuming alcohol earlier, and after failing field sobriety exercises, she was arrested for operating under the influence and refusing a chemical test. During the traffic stop, as officers prepare to process Karina Armando, the passenger, Olivia Morrow, repeatedly questions the officers' actions. This video captures a tense exchange as an officer firmly warns Morrow about potential obstruction charges if she continues to interfere.
