He followed the vehicle and observed that the vehicle's rear tire climbed the curve and was not maintaining the lane. He stopped the vehicle near Arnold Avenue and River Avenue. The driver, Stephanie M. Curley (Curley), admitted that she was coming from the "Boatyard" (a bar) and had consumed three vodkas. Her eyes were red and watery, and her mouth smelled of alcohol. Field Tests: Alphabet Test: Curley repeated the English alphabet incorrectly. One Leg Stand Test: She could not stand for 30 seconds with her leg raised 6 inches. She tried three times but failed each time. Walk and Turn Test: She could not follow instructions to walk 9 steps back and forth and turn. Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) Test: Police Officer Allegretta (#64) checked Curly's eye movements and found signs of alcohol influence. Alco-Test: Curly's breath sample at the police station showed her blood alcohol content (BAC) to be 0.14%, which was above the legal limit (0.08%). Arrest: Curly was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI). She was issued five traffic citations and her husband was released after signing John's Law papers. Conclusion: There was clear evidence of Curly driving under the influence in this incident.
