This video shows a pursuit and PIT of a suspect vehicle that resulted in serious injuries of the driver. Trooper T. Roberson (I-8) attempts to stop a vehicle for several equipment violations. The suspect flees. Trooper J. Valentin (I-12) responds to assist. At one point during the pursuit, the suspect drives in the oncoming lane at a high rate of speed. I-8 gets stuck in a ditch and I-12 catches up and brings the suspect to a stop. Details of the investigation and photos will be provided at the end of the video. The suspect has since recovered and has been charged.
