On February 25, 2025, Santa Rosa County Sheriff's deputies pulled over a vehicle in Florida for speeding through a construction zone. The driver, later identified as 59-year-old US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel and dentist Michelle Bongiovi, completely refused to roll down her window, provide her driver's license, or step out of the vehicle. In this tense bodycam footage, what starts as a routine speeding citation escalates into a stubborn standoff. Despite multiple warnings from deputies that her window will be broken and she will go to jail, Bongiovi argues the law and refuses to comply. The situation reaches its boiling point when officers shatter the glass and forcibly extract her from the driver's seat. In this video: • The initial traffic stop for speeding in a construction zone • The driver refuses to provide ID, roll down the window, or step out • The tense standoff and debate over constitutional rights • Deputies shatter the window and extract the driver • EMS treats the driver for glass injuries while deputies inventory the car • The aftermath and multiple charges filed, including a DUI Disclaimer: This video features graphic content, including police use of force, shattered glass, and minor injuries.
