On December 15th, 2024, officers spoke with a man who reported being contacted by someone posing as a U.S. Marshal. The caller falsely claimed that his Social Security number was linked to a money laundering investigation, and convinced him to withdraw his savings to clear his name. This is footage of the events that followed.
