On April 23, 2023, Stow Police Officer Kidd was driving through an apartment complex parking lot looking for catalytic converter thieves when he spotted a vehicle with two doors opened. He got out to investigate and discovered a 19-year-old woman sitting behind the wheel of a running Lexus. She admitted to drinking alcohol and officer Kidd was concerned that since the engine was running, she might be preparing to drive off. The woman claimed she was having a hard day and was just sitting in her car because her roommate had friends over. She also stated she had the engine on because she was running the vehicle's heater. Because she had consumed alcohol, Officer Kidd asked her to perform standardized field sobriety tests (FSTs). She was eventually arrested for Being in Physical Control of a Vehicle Under the Influence. She was transported to the Stow police department, where she refused to submit to an evidential breath test (EBT). The end of the video discusses her charges and the outcome of her case.
