What began as a peaceful day at a Florida beach quickly turned into a shocking child neglect investigation. After concerned beachgoers discovered a 6-month-old infant alone under a beach tent, deputies from the Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. As officers searched for the missing parents, witnesses claimed the family had been gone for nearly an hour. When the parents finally returned, they explained they had "lost track of time" while walking with their other children. Deputies investigated the circumstances, interviewed witnesses, explained the applicable laws, and ultimately made their decision. This video breaks down the full bodycam footage, highlighting the investigation, legal procedures, witness statements, and the outcome of the case.
