Gallaudet University is often called the Harvard of higher education for the deaf, a peaceful campus shielded from the rougher neighborhoods of Washington DC. That peace is shattered when Eric Plunkett is found brutally beaten in his dorm room. As the community reels, local authorities fixate on a classmate, leading to a controversial arrest that falls apart in court. The terror only grows when a second student, Benjamin Varner, is discovered murdered in the same building months later.
