On May 22, 2024, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Police Officer Tyrone Huggins responded to the area of Newark and Jackson Streets on reports of a vehicle crash. While speaking with the driver of one of the cars, later identified as 57-year-old Kristine Forcillo of Manasquan, he detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her breath and observed her to have slurred speech and glassy eyes. When asked for her license and proof of insurance, she was unable to do so. Police Officer Harold Milne arrived on the scene to perform a field sobriety test, which Forcillo refused. She was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where she further refused to provide breath samples. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusal to submit to breath testing. As per John’s Law, she was released into the custody of a responsible party.
