A routine visit to a polling station escalates unexpectedly into a physical altercation, leaving an elderly individual injured. The incident began when a 24-year-old individual, refusing to wait in line at a public office, attempted to push past election judges. The situation quickly escalated as the individual began yelling profanities and then punched a 96-year-old election judge in the face, knocking off their glasses. Other patrons in the voting line immediately intervened to restrain the individual until law enforcement arrived. Upon the arrival of officers, the individual resisted arrest, leading to further confrontation before being taken into custody. The individual was subsequently charged with multiple counts, including aggravated battery and resisting arrest, and was held overnight pending a detention hearing. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
