A driver's insistence on proving sobriety takes an unexpected turn when officers detail the severity of her impairment. Following a report from school staff regarding a potentially impaired teacher, officers located a silver 2015 Hyundai driving erratically. The driver, exhibiting clear indicators of impairment despite claiming a panic attack, was asked to perform field sobriety exercises. After initially refusing to exit her vehicle, she eventually complied but failed multiple exercises, including the Walk and Turn and One Leg Stand tests, showing significant coordination issues. During the subsequent interaction, she offered to take a breath test, believing it would clear her, but officers informed her that her exhibited clues of impairment meant she would be transported for booking regardless. She then agreed to the breath test, which later revealed BAC levels of 0.311% and 0.305%, nearly four times the legal limit. A search incident to arrest also uncovered six bottles of vodka in her vehicle. She was cited for DUI and transported to jail. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
