Bodycam footage captures the entire encounter as officers detain the woman, recover the merchandise, and investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged shoplifting. According to store staff, the items included clothing, accessories, toiletries, and other Walmart merchandise with a reported total value of approximately $178. During the investigation, officers discovered an unidentified substance inside the backpack. After advising the woman of her Miranda rights, officers questioned her about the substance and the merchandise. She denied ownership of the substance and disputed the amount of merchandise she was accused of attempting to steal. Officers later conducted a field test on the suspected substance, which reportedly tested positive for Molly.
